Our fluid-flowing microporous components for air cushion applications are specifically used where webs made of films, glass, paper, or metal need to be gently guided, turned, or deflected. In this process, finely dosed compressed air flowing through the micropores of our components creates a homogeneous air cushion for contactless guidance.

Operating principle of air cushion web guide for delicate webs

Whether films or paper – webs that are freshly treated, scratch-free, or very delicate must be guided without contact.

For this, we develop and manufacture custom air cushion guides that allow the webs to float on a homogeneous and constant air cushion over rollers or deflection segments. This is made possible by precisely defined air exit zones. For extremely delicate web surfaces or air-permeable material webs, we have also developed a solution that allows deflection onto a carrier belt.
